Hemingway

Brrrrrrr y'all!  It's dang cold!  I had to break out my Ernest Hemingway sweater, the warmest one I have in my closet.  Doesn't look like some sort of sailor's sweater?  I just need a pipe and a white sailor's hat and I will have a perfect Halloween costume.

In going through my closet this morning, I realized that I really don't have that many snuggly, cozy sweaters and that's really all I wanted to wear today.  I feel a trip to the thrift comin' on!

Where have y'all gotten your favorite cold weather gear this season?

Sweater: J.Crew (old)
Bracelets: J.Crew Classic Pave' LinkKate Spade, Banana Republic (in store)vintage Hermes
Glasses: RayBan

  1. I do love J Crew sweaters and I too have a ton of old ones that I still wear...that's good though, right? Can't wait to see what you pull together as the weather gets even chillier!

    1. Yes, that's great! It means they hold up and they are timeless instead of trendy. I stopped myself at buying only one graphic sweater this year (Heart Sweater) because I didn't want to waste money on ten sweaters with different color cats and owls. They are cute, but they will be out next season, then I'm stuck with them. Thanks for stopping by!!

    1. Thanks, Rachel! I was actually unsure about it, but I ran out of time and said "Screw it! I've gotta go!" Sometimes when that happens, it translates on film much better than I can see it in the mirror.

  3. Button Front Twill Maternity Jacket
I love this jacket. I bought it to go with both my work dresses as well as weekend jeans. The fabric feels great, it is well-made, it looks expensive, it has nice stiching and it is reasonably priced.

    1. Nice! I don't know from experience, but I imagine it's tough to be preggers and still feel and look chic. I'm not sure that I would have the same passion for clothes since my options would be increasingly limited. I definitely will need help when I get to that stage in my life. Thanks for dropping by!

  4. I have one too many sweaters:) Your sailor sweater is divine and I love how you paired it with leopard jeans! So unexpected, but it works perfectly. Your bag is amazing too! xo

    1. You have an amazing sweater wardrobe, sister! I feel like I'm lacking and try to compensate by pairing a button down underneath anything I can find to fit over it. ARGH!
