Double Dutch

I'm often quite aimless in the morning when I am getting dressed for work and this day was no exception.  I put several items together and finally settled on this look that reminds me of a Ralph Lauren Christmas campaign.  I've always loved the look of doubling up button downs, but I've never really done it because I felt a bit frumpy.  The great thing about these J.Crew Perfect Shirts is that they are pretty thin and are generally issued in complimentary prints.  As you saw here, I'm into pairing leopard with a tartan plaid, and when paired with a skinny pant, it tones everything down a bit.

Jacket: Pendleton, thrifted, love this one
Shirts: J.Crew Perfect Shirt in Tartan and Leopard
Belt: Hermes
Bag: Louis Vuitton
Necklaces: F21, J.Crew, West Avenue
Bracelets: J.Crew Classic Pave Link, F21, vintage Hermes

  1. A girl after my own heart... only in blogging does a red pant "tone it down." ;) Love all your leopard/plaid combos. Definitely test driving them soon.

    1. Thanks, Amy! I always hesitate to put on red because my skin tone is rather 'pinky'.

    1. If I'm not at work, I'm usually in yoga pants! I'm lucky to have no dress code, so I can be as crazy as I wanna be!

  7. Again, another nice pairing... What's even better (for me) I have both shirts so I could maybe try to " copy" look to see if I could pull it off. I thnk the doubling of the shirt for me may be to bulky however the looks works perfectly for you! The Hermes belt adds a nice touch!!

    1. I thought the same thing. I didn't wear a normal bra with this because I wanted it to lay flat, not bulge or bunch. I just wore one of those cami bra things and I think it helped a lot. Not that I really have anything to suppress, but a wonderbra wouldn't have worked.
