Obvi, the crazy person who let go of this Zara Motorcycle Jacket must be dying of shame right about now, especially since I look so stinkin' cute in it!  I have to say, this is the only time I've ever even seen a Zara item at Goodwill, so I will chalk it up to the luck of the Irish since I found it on Saint Patty's Day.

Thrift of the Week: Zara Tweed Motorcycle Jacket

I'm not sure what was going on, exactly, with the obviously crazy person that mistakenly mixed this slice of heaven in with their donation pile, but I was certainly happen to take advantage of their misfortune.  I'm not sure how old it is, but I don't remember it in any of the past couple years collections.  I already have a pink tweed jacket but was in the market for a lighter one with a white or cream base.  This jacket is so perfect and has little threads of cobalt and yellow that make it easy to coordinate with bright colors.  The tweed is polished enough for the office and the style and cut easily takes it to night.  Definitely one of my favorite finds.

Under My Umbrella

The weather has been relentless for the past few days as thunderstorms have taken over Texas.  The dogs were terrified by the thunder last night and kept me up shaking and panting.  I was exhausted this morning, to say the least, but hopefully you can't see that!  I had fun taking photos in the rain this morning and as soon as I got on the road, the sunshine peaked through the clouds :)

Taking care of business

I'm not one to blend into the sea of black and khaki that dominates the workplace.  Color has it's place in business, too, and although my brights are a bit shocking to most, they keep me looking chic while crunching numbers all day long.  A simple shift and a jacket are one of my favorite combinations because they so easy go from day to night.  What are your favorite work looks?

I snagged this dress at Zara's end of summer sale last year but didn't get a chance to wear it.  This mild weather only lasts a short time in Texas, so I figured I would start early on the "white after Easter" rules (which I don't follow, obviously).  White is my favorite color to wear because it has endless accessorizing possibilities.  We enjoyed a wonderful and healthy dinner at Seasons 52 wear every plate is 475 calories or less.  Brilliant!

I never promised you a rose garden...

But what I did promise you was floral, er, rose trousers!  Finally, the floral pants were ready for their photo op today and I have to say, I luuuuuuurve them.  I thought they would give me a case of saddle bags/thunder thighs, but I'm digging' em.  I could have gone way wrong with a pair of $14.99 pants but H&M proves, yet again, that you don't have to shell out bundles to look fabulous.

Lets also take a few minutes to pay tribute to my new baby, THE Valentino Rockstud bag I found at Neiman's presale for more than 50% off.  This is by far the classiest bag I own and the studs glitter like a girls best friend.  This is what I broke my Lent promise for, so if I'm going to hell for something, at least I can add this to the list.
