Skull Candy

One of my top lust items is an Alexander McQueen skull scarf, but at $800 and higher, it totally breaks the bank.  I was thrilled to find this gorgeous substitute at Zara a few weeks back and with the weather finally getting cold, scarves are a daily staple for me.

Have you guys found any good designer stand-in's?

Lots of Layers

We came back from Louisiana to find some chilly weather here in Dallas, so you can imagine my excitement of opening up my coat closet for the first time this year.  It's been getting rather cold here overnight, but still in the low eighties during the day, so layers are a must.  I wore this to work yesterday and let's just say that I got my fair share of strange looks for my new Zara Leopard High-Heel Sandals.  Aren't they the bomb.com?  Good Lord, I almost passed out when I saw them last week.  They almost had an angelic glow around them, beckoning me to try them on and of course they fit like a glove.

I wanted to thank you guys for the feedback on what you would like to see on the blog.  I don't want y'all to get bored and definitely want to give you improved content, so it was very helpful to hear your suggestions.

Double Up

I hope y'all had a great weekend!  Mine was wonderful and full of football.  I've been doing a cleanse for the past 10 days and I finally was able to have a cheat day.  I never thought that depriving myself of my favorite food and drink would actually make me feel better, but I've had such a great experience that I think I will actually repeat it every three months.  My headaches, moodiness, and fatigue and pretty much out of the picture and I feel great. Am going to stay on a modified version of it as long as I can.

In other news, I bought this super cute and super cheap peplum top from H&M a few days back.  I loved it so much that I went back and bought it in black, too.  I wore this outfit to a business meeting last week and ended up in it again over the weekend.  I really didn't think I would fall as far as I have for this trend but I just love the silhouette it gives me with both pants and skirts.  I like higher waist things, so it actually works really well for me if I can tuck it into a full, a line, or circle skirt.

Top: H&M (in store only)
