Thrift of the Week : Three Way

In searching for odds and ends for the bedroom I was, of course, stopping by every thrift store from here to Oklahoma.  Not to ignore the treasures that may be buried in the dress aisle, I sniffed out this little beauty for $3.99.  The color is great and the cowl neck allows me to wear it three ways: asymmetric, off shoulder, and with a cowl collar.  How great is that?

Dress: Express (thrifted)
Belt: J.Crew
Wedges: Steve Madden
Clutch: Target
Glasses: Ann Taylor
Necklaces: J.Crew, West Avenue
Bracelets: vintage Hermes, J.Crew, Kate Spade

Have y'all found anything in the junk lately?

Thrift of the Week: Rubgy Dress

I was so happy to find this Old Navy striped rugby dress at my local goodwill for $2.99.  I love the contrast of the white collar (I'm a sucker for contrast collar button downs with french cuffs) and the thickness of the fabric.  It's a great, easy item to be casual and cool in the hot Texas heat.  And the Sperry's... I'm probably the only person over the age of 12 that wears sequin Sperry's but I don't give a rip.  I love 'em :)

Dress: Thrifted (Old Navy)
Denim: H&M
Topsiders: Sperry
Bag: Gift from my mother from Italy
Necklace: West Avenue via Max and Chloe
Bracelets: Kate Spade, J.Crew, vintage Hermes

Have a wonderful day!

Thrift of the Week - Ombre Hombre

Hey chickens!  Hope y'all are having a fabulous day! I love me some ombre and although I am absolutely terrified/fascinated with a dip dye DIY, I decided to settle for this lovely skirt at Goodwill a few weeks back.  The color was vibrant and the high waist is a great fit for me. I am super glad it's almost the freakin' weekend and have a ton of house stuff planned.  I've been working on the fireplace conversion as my first project, so I am super excited to show you guys how it turned out.  Just waiting for a few items to be delivered and I will have a pretty cool final product.

What do y'all have planned for the weekend?

Skirt: Thrifted but love this ombre look and this one, too!
Top: H&M, similar
Shoes: Steve Madden
Belt: Target, similar
Necklace: West Avenue via Max & Chloe
Bracelets: Ann Taylor, Kate Spade, J.Crew, vintage Hermes
Ring: unknown

Thrift of the Week: Horsebit Blouse

I haven't done a TOTW post lately because, frankly, I haven't been thrifting (for clothing).  I found this lovely silk blouse at Goodwill a few months back and fell head over heels.  The vintage horsebit/chain print is a weakness for me, so anytime I see something even close, it's an automatic purchase.  I would like to tab the sleeves so that they stay rolled up, eventually, but I would have to remove my sewing machine from it's box to accomplish such a feat.  It's been in the closet mocking me for three years now...

Top: Vintage Stefanie Andrews, similar print, and in a dress here and here for less than $70!
Denim: Hudson, can't say it enough, these are the perfect white jeans!
Sandals: Michael Michael Kors, old but similar this season
Belt: Thrifted, similar
Ring: brand unknown, but from Bloom, similar here by Erin Wasson, and here in silver
Bracelets: Vintage Hermes, Kate Spade, J.Crew

Also, want to give a shout out to Katherine, one of my readers, who informed me that someone was using my photos to sell items on eBay without my permission.  Thanks for having my back!

sarah

Thrift of the Week: Styled

As promised, here is the Thrift of the Week styled casually for the office.  It's quite a fussy skirt simply because, over the years, the lining has come apart from the rest of the garnet and it kept twisting the seams around.  Err... I was yanking at it all day long.  Easy fix, though!  This skirt has a gorgeous sheen to it and I can wait to pair it with something sassy for night.  A leather jacket?  Crisp blazer?  What would y'all put it with?  Suggestions, please!

Skirt: Valentino vintage (thrifted)
Shoes: Nine West (I got these for $50, but check out the real deal at $950!  STEAL)
Belt: NY&Co.
Bracelets: Vintage Hermes, Juicy Couture
